Saudade Design 2140

This aluminum yacht was built by the Huisman Shipyard of Holland and launched just prior to the 1973 Admirals Cup. The design brief was for a boat that would qualify for the Admirals Cup in the lower range of Class I. Further, emphasis was to be placed on the deck layout for maximum crew efficiency. In addition to these requests she was built of the finest materials and construction methods, and this helped ensure her victory for the German team.
